How do you get dirty blonde hair to look shiny??

Like those girls with the gorgeous, sleek, jet black hair? I want that kind of shine!! What products, including brushes and shampoos, should I use for shiny dirty blonde hair?

How do you get dirty blonde hair to look shiny??

This question was meant for me to answer -- that's my hair.

I use a lot of different products, but over the decades, the one old standby for shiny hair has been Sebastian (that's the brand name) Laminates (that's the product name). I used to be able to get it only at the salon, but now I think Target may carry it.

Here is how I use it: After shampoo, condition, towel dry, comb through, wait ten minutes put a pencial eraser size amount in your hand, rub hands together, and scrunch through your hair starting at the ends. Then blow dry. It will be perfect. I wouldn't use any or too much near the roots -- will look oily. Instead, use a volumizer near the roots (look for that word on products).

One bottle lasts me years -- I've been using it for 20 years and have bought maybe five bottles. But, that means every time I go to buy more, the packaging has changed and I have to figure out which one is the original. They have a whole line now and maybe the smoothing one is what I would try.

I like to buy spray gloss that adds shine to your hair. There are many types out there from what you can get at Walmart to a pro salon, I like GOT2BE brand. After you have styled your hair you spray it in, and you are done. Report It
