I recently dyed my hair blonde. Can anyone recommed a good shampoo/conditioner that will help one, keep color, two, doesn't turn the dyed blonde "yellow"

Redkens Blonde Glam is an excellent shampoo and conditioner. It is also formulated to be color safe and puts back shine and less frizzy. Smells great too, smells like citrus. And no it will not turn it yellow. You don't want to use shelf brand shampoo and conditioner because they tend to leave build up on the hair resulting to color fading as well. Blonde glam is a great choice and most of my highlighted customers have bought it and really enjoyed it. I saw someone put So Silver by Matrix. It is a great shampoo but is not intended for everyday use because of its purpleish color and if used everyday on Blonde hair, it can turn it purple. It is intended to keep the blonde from looking brassy.

the hairapy shampoo. thats the best. or tresemme for blondes. it kept my hair in for a long time. dont use the pantene stuff for dyed hair because it has dyes in it.

Try So Silver. It is a silver color that you can buy at Sally's. Also, they have little tubes by the protein fillers that you can add to any shampoo to keep the yellow/ brassy tones down. One is called No Red, but I don't remember what the others name is; they are right next to each other.

iam blonde ande i use tressame shampoo %26amp; cond its great i use the body one , but there are different types , dont use pantene i can never hold the curl in my hair with that.

I have naturally very light blonde hair, I am average weight, and my hair is in a a-line style choppy chin length bob. My hair is fine, and straight, not too thin. You can try using a temporary hair rinse in the shade of your choice. Fanciful sells rinses in many shades so you can experiment without making any permanent changes to your hair color. You just comb it through your wet hair, let it dry %26amp; you have brown hair. You'll then be able to see if you want to dye your hair that shade or a lighter one or one with more red highlights. The rinse totally washes out with your next shampoo. I'm blonde %26amp; went brown once, I found it rather depressing. It depends on how you feel %26amp; what looks good to you and your particular coloring and eyes.

It's hard to tell without a photo but you should go for it.

The darker hair will make your green eyes stand out, and it also goes great with your short hair. It'd be a lot more dramatic.

Never gone dark before? Use one of the many online sites to upload your photo and change your hair and see if you like it, or just use photoshop or a similar program to paint over your hair with a darker color.

I have naturally blonde hair and I have tried to dye it brown several times, but everytime i do it only lasts a couples weeks then the blonde starts showing through. it lasts longer in the winter but in the summer there was no way i could keep it brown without blonde appearing in it.

If you dye it blonde on top of brown/black using a single process home dye, you cannot be sure of the color that results. It may (probably will) come out darker still on the ends, and will not be blonde, but a muddy brown. Single process lighteners only go so far. Having it professionally double processed (stripped of color and then redyed) will have the best results, especially if you bring a picture of you with your original color. You want to do it professionally because it will damage your hair less than double processing it yourself.

No, don't dye it blonde. You will end up with very very orange hair. Go to a salon or try a medium brown. Even a salon wont be able to get your blonde back on the first try.

dying it will probably leave it an unkind orange color. i would recommend using a color stripper which will remove all the non natural pigments, and then if it still doesn't fade to a desireable shade then you can proceed with a dye low in amonia.

try removing the color that you have first. if the result is not the blonde color you are looking for then consult a colorist. he/she should be able to get your desired color with the least damage to your hair.

I had streaks of purple in my medium blonde hair too but it didn't stay in too long, so I would reccomend bleaching it. If you're afraid of losing your natural color like you said, maybe you should just do the tips of your hair. that way, when you are done with the purple, you can just trim it off. hope i helped!

you could try lemon juice %26amp; sitting in the sun for a couple of hours, but i did this when i was younger %26amp; it made my hair super dry so i wouldn't really recommend this. i've also heard that making chamomille tea %26amp; letting it cool %26amp; pouring that over your head (or putting it in a spray bottle %26amp; spritzing your hair) can also naturally lighten your hair. guess leave it on for at least a half hour...all natural so it's gentle %26amp; not fast-acting like peroxide/dye. there's also those new color glazing things like from John Freida. You use it in the shower after you shampoo %26amp; it deposits a very small amount of color. It's not as obvious %26amp; permanent as highlights or a single or double process bleaching. Kind of just blends in w/your hair color %26amp; brightens it up. Good luck.

Start shampooing your hair with dish washing soap. (Dawn, Joy, Palmolive) Dish soap is high in alkalinity and it will strip out your color, just enough to lighten it. You may have to shampoo quite a few times. Let the dish washing soap remain in your hair a few minutes each shampoo. Be certain you follow up with a great condtioner, as this can be drying to your hair.

If you go darker, even with a hair color that will wash out in 28 shampoos, it will grab. I would have it professionally done if I were you. I went darker and had to have help going back to my natural color. Anything else that you do at this point could potentially make it worse.

I would be very careful using dish soap on your hair, it is very drying. In my opinion, at this point a prefessional would seriously be your best bet. I would fear having to cut my hair.
