The evolution of different skin pigments is recent, within the last 20,000 years, and is region specific. People in cold northern climes that didn't get sun wound up with light skin and light hair. People in the tropics wound up with dark skin and dark hair to protect themselves from the sun.

There is almost no genetic difference between people with different skin pigments. It's all pretty superficial. Darker skin is advantageous in sunny places, it prevents you from getting skin cancer as easily as someone with light skin.

There are more than a few things which cause different traits in people. Diet, average sunlight, temperature and ancestory all factor in. People who have lived in Norway for thousands of years don't have the protective color needed by people from India, Africa and so on. Also, it is wise not to oversimplify things!! For instance, most people think Black people are most likely to have sickle cell anemia. But Blacks from south Africa have it less often than Whites around the Mediterranean. The reason is, people whose ancestors had to fight off malaria for many generations often get that anemia as a side-effect of their resistance.

I don't believe in evolution, so I have a very different answer from most - that is admittedly simplistic. I believe that we were all created by God and that He loves diversity. If you look at all life on earth there is wonderful diversity - it would be very strange - given the pattern of other types of life - if all human beings had the same characteristics.

We take those characteristics however and attach all kinds of things to them that don't make sense. We say that blonde hair is good and black hair is bad for example. In actuality none of it is bad because God created it all.

I think that your english actually is pretty good. I'm thinking that someone here should be able to explain the DNA portion of it - like what genes control skin color for example.

for the christians it says somewhere in the bible that god took people that were similar in looks like blonde hair blue eyes or jews or blacks and separated them to different countries across world i also heard people were banished for sins like the sin they committed determined their looks and where they lived i am not sure which is accurate of bible but the real reason is skin color/ hair color is based on where they are from example in africa it is hot and the darker you are the better the sun is deflected off your skin colder places like germany you would tend to have lighter skin/ hair does this help?

I dont know of any adaptive function of blue eyes nor blond hair. I have heard "slanted' eyes are protect eyes from wind.
